This 6 Days Uganda primates watching tour entails various tour activities at Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel for a road trip to the Murchison falls National Park found I Masindi. En route enjoy the beautiful scenic views of the Luwero triangle and after lunch proceed with your trip to the national park. Upon arrival, head straight to the top of the falls and enjoy the wonderful view of the river Nile pouring out through a narrow passage as a fountain. Dine and rest at Paraa Safari Lodge/ Sambiya River Lodge/ Red Chili Rest Camp.

Day 2: Game Drive and Launch Cruise
Have early breakfast and engage in a morning game drive to the southern part of river Nile viewing the various wildlife and bird species like lions, elephants, giraffe saddle bill stork, and woodland kingfishers among others. Later after lunch, it’s an amazing launch cruise along the Nile river where you will have a chance to view the aquatic wildlife like the crocodiles , water bucks and hippopotami all in large concentration. Dine and rest at Paraa Safari Lodge/ Sambiya River Lodge/ Red Chili Rest Camp.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Enjoy breakfast and get ready for a transfer to Kibale forest national park- the Eat African haven for chimpanzee tracking. Dine and rest at Primates lodge (Luxury)/ Chimp’s nest (Midrange)/Chimpanzee Guest house (Budget).

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
Upon rising, enjoy your breakfast and assemble at the Kanyachu park offices for morning briefing on the chimpanzee tracking code of conduct. Unlike mountain gorillas, chimpanzees live in large family groups and once found, expect an hour interacting with them watching out for other interesting wildlife species like Varvet Monkey, L’hoest, Blue Monkey, Red-Tailed Monkey, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Black And White Colobus Monkey among others.
In the afternoon, head out for a road trip to Bwind forest national park.- the home to Uganda’s mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Bakiga Lodge/ Wagtail eco lodge (Budget), Gorilla Mist/Nshongi Gorilla resort(Midrange), Gorilla safari lodge/Gorilla resort (Luxury)

Day 5: Mountain Gorilla Tracking and Batwa Pygmies
After breakfast, assemble at the park offices for pre – tracking briefing on the mountain gorilla tracking guidelines. With your tracking gear, engage in the gorilla search; once found, have an hour with the intriguing creatures, taking photographs and making videos. Time spent looking for these creatures may last between 3o minutes to 8 hours depending on their movement as they search for food, water and new shelter. Later, retrieve the starting point, return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, heady out for a community walk to the Batwa pygmies- an indigenous local population that dwelled the Bwindi forest before driven out by the conservation program. Dine and rest at. Gorilla Safari Lodge (Luxury)/ Gorilla Mist Camp (Mid range)/Wagtail Eco-Camp (Budget).

Day 6: Return to Kampala

Have breakfast at leisure and get ready for your return trip to Kampala; en route visit the Equator and Mpambire Cultural village for souvenirs, reaching Kampala in the evening for drop off at either the hotel or airport for departure flight.
