 Ten days best of Uganda safari will give you a remarkable adventure of Uganda’s wildlife, gorillas and chimpanzee tracking experience with spending some time at the second deepest lakes in Africa l. Bunyonyi.

Itinerary:

 Day one: Transfer to Murchison falls N.P.

 After breakfast in the morning drive to Ziwa rhino sanctuary for a rhino trek adventure before they hide from the sun. Rhinos are part of the traditional African big 5 animals but are also poor in regulating there body temperatures so they retire from under the trees or big thickets most of the day and come out later when the sun is down, after the trek have lunch and proceed to Murchison falls. Check in at your lodge for an overnight stay.

Day two: Game drive and boat ride.

 Have breakfast and go out for a game drive early in the morning to try finding animals like antelopes wake up for the day and when lions are more active in hunting. Traverse the plains of Murchison falls in search of the big 4 members which are found here after go back to the lodge for lunch and later go for the launch cruise to the bottom of the falls. Overnight at the lodge (day 1).

Day three: transfer to Kibale forest.

 Have early breakfast and drive to the ferry for the 7am crossing to embark on the journey to the western Uganda. You will have several stops for stretching the legs as well as taking pictures. Lunch will be at the garden restaurant in fort portal there after proceed to Kibale forest. Overnight at Primate lodge.

Day four: chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi swamp walk.

Kibale National Park Chimpanzee Habituation Experience (CHEX)

After breakfast drive to the briefing center for the briefing before to get in the forest with a ranger guide, here you join another group of tourists that do not exceed 8 people on the trek. Tracking takes about 3 to 4 hours midday is lunch, rest for a bit and around 2.30pm you go to Bigodi swamp for another fun fill experience of birds and other specie of monkeys, retire at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day five: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.

 After breakfast drive to queen Elizabeth national park have lunch and go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. Kazinga channel has a large concentration of water birds, hippos, elephants, buffalos and others. Overnight at the Mweya lodge or Enganzi lodge.

Day six: Game drives and transfer to Ishasha.

 Early morning games drive at Kasenyi savannah plains to search to the lions; elephants and other animals with a visit of Bunyampaka salt mine. Go back to the lodge for lunch and after checkout and drive to Ishasha for an evening game drive, later check-in at your lodge.

Day seven: climbing lions and transfer to Bwindi NP.

Game drive in the morning in search for the tree-climbing lions, these lions are unique in a way that when it gets hot they climb the fig trees to hide from the sun and also have a clear view of the area after have lunch and proceed to Bwindi. Overnight at Bakiga lodge or Mahogany springs.

Day eight: Gorilla Tracking Day.

 This is the gorilla-tracking day, have breakfast with all your tracking gear ready to go on a memorable experience. Upon reaching the park offices you will have a briefing on how to conduct yourself while in the forest with the gorillas after that you enter the forest together with other group members and a ranger guide, once you find them you only spend one with these gentle giants and come back to your starting point to drive back to the lodge time allowing you go for a cultural /Batwa walk.

Day Nine. Transfer to L. Bunyonyi.

 Wake up at ease and have breakfast after drive to lake Bunyonyi the second deepest lake in Africa. This lake is a crater lake and has no such big fish and Hippos, which makes it safer to swim in it check in at Birdnest hotel and later go for a boat cruise around the lake as this lake has more than 20 islands with historical background. Overnight at Birdnest lodge.

Day ten: transfer back to Kampala.

 After breakfast embark on the journey back to Entebbe or Kampala with several stops along the way for pictures and stretching the legs, lunch at the equator with shopping and equator pictures after proceed to the airport as you wind up the Ten Days Best of Uganda Safari.
